France will hand over 150 generators to Ukraine in February, and will also provide 71 million euros in financial support for 2026, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported on February 4 with reference to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal.
“France is one of Ukraine’s key strategic partners in the energy sector,” Shmyhal said after a meeting with Minister-delegate for Foreign Trade and Investment Attraction at the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Nicolas Faucier.
Shmyhal thanked France for supporting the attraction of 30 billion euros of energy aid within the framework of EU macro-financial support and noted that 46 loads of generators, transformers and emergency equipment are already working to restore the power system.
