On Wednesday, the first French generators will arrive in Ukraine – 13 units from the promised batch of 150. The transfer of the equipment will be personally supervised by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of France for Foreign Trade, Nicolas Forissier. The French diplomat emphasized that the purpose of this assistance is to support Ukraine in the difficult winter period and to confirm the reliability of France’s partnership.
According to Faurissier, he is visiting Kyiv to clearly demonstrate France’s determination to help Ukraine: “We are fully aware of the urgent needs the country is facing, especially in the energy sector. That is why two weeks ago we took on ambitious commitments within the framework of the G7+ Energy Ministers’ meeting, which we are already implementing.”
The French deputy minister clarified that the first 13 generators financed by France will arrive on Wednesday. This is just the beginning – a total of 150 pieces of equipment are planned to be delivered, which will help ensure stable energy supply in critical regions of Ukraine during the winter. “I will be present at this first delivery to show the reliability of France’s support in overcoming the harsh winter and achieving a just and lasting peace,” Faurissier added. The diplomat also emphasized the strategic importance of such assistance: generators will help cities and critical energy facilities to remain connected even in the event of accidents or shelling, and this, according to him, is “not only a matter of comfort, but a matter of security and stability of the state.”
France has repeatedly confirmed that supporting Ukraine is a priority of its foreign policy, and this step is part of a larger aid package that includes both logistical support and financing of energy and humanitarian initiatives. This batch of generators will be a visible signal to Ukrainians and international partners that France is ready to fulfill its obligations and support the country in critical moments, especially in the period of severe winter conditions and reconstruction of infrastructure after hostilities.
