Details of the contract with the young football player are not disclosed. It is known that Mooney will join the Gunners academy and play for the U21 team.
Evan is a pupil of Scottish side St Mirren, for whom he made his senior debut at the start of the 2024/25 season. Since then, he has made 23 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing one assist. The winger scored his first professional goal in December 2024, equalizing the score after coming off the bench in an away match against St. Johnstone (3:2).

Despite his young age, Mooney already has a trophy in his career. In December 2025, he took part in the Scottish League Cup final, in which St Mirren unexpectedly beat Celtic 3-1.
The Arsenal rookie is also a member of the Scottish youth team. He has six matches as part of the U19 team.
