The State Bureau of Investigation declared a principled position on combating any manifestations of violence, humiliation of human dignity and abuse of power by officials.
The department stressed that such actions are absolutely unacceptable, especially during martial law, because they undermine public trust in state institutions.
DBR employees detained the head of the civil-military cooperation group of one of the district territorial centers of staffing and social support of the Kyiv region.
According to the investigators, the officer systematically exceeded his official authority, humiliated conscripts and used physical violence against them.
Moreover, he recorded his actions on video and made cuts of his own “scrolls”.
The investigation established that such cases were of a repeated nature, and the official’s behavior demonstrated complete disregard for the law and the principles of military service.
Instead of fulfilling the duties stipulated by the statute, he turned his official position into an instrument of intimidation and humiliation of citizens.
We will remind you that the State Security Bureau detained the military for embezzling over UAH 47 million on FPV drones.
The SBI is also investigating almost 3,000 cases of crimes against the national security of Ukraine.
