President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this in Telegram, commenting on the nighttime massive strike of the Russian Federation.
He noted that the liquidation of the consequences of the Russian attack on Ukraine is ongoing.
“Once again, there was a targeted attack on energy facilities: the Russians used a significant amount of ballistics in combination with other missiles – more than 70 and 450 strike drones. Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv and the capital, Dnipro, Odesa, and Vinnytsia were under attack,” the president emphasized.
According to him, it is already known that nine people were injured as a result of the attack, and there is damage to ordinary residential buildings and energy infrastructure. In particular, in Kyiv, Zelensky noted, there were fires in high-rise buildings after drone strikes, and a kindergarten was damaged.
The president emphasized that Russia chooses terror, not diplomacy, “and this very clearly demonstrates what is needed from partners and what can help”:
“Timely supply of missiles for air defense systems and protection of normal life is our priority. Without pressure on Russia, this war will not end. Now Moscow chooses terror and escalation, and because of this maximum pressure is needed. Thank you to all partners who understand this and help us.”
Russian strike on February 3As reported by UNIAN, the Russians inflicted another massive attack on Kyiv at night, there is damage in several areas.
According to the police, 5 victims are known. In particular, doctors hospitalized a man and a woman with cut wounds from a damaged house in the Dnipro district.
Mayor Vitaly Klychko said that as a result of the enemy attack on the capital’s infrastructure, the Darnytskyi and Dniprovsky districts were mostly left without heat. In total, there are currently 1,170 high-rise buildings without heat supply in the city. Utilities and energy workers have started restoration work.
The network showed footage of a 5-story building that was hit by the wreckage of the drone. Some of the apartments had windows blown out. According to locals, the entire house is currently without electricity, heat, water and gas.
Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Vinnytsia were also under attack.
