Kyivstar charged UAH 30/day from the user’s personal account subscription fees He did not make calls, did not send SMS, did not use the mobile Internet, but only the SIM card was inserted into the gadget. He reported about this case on his own Facebook page.
The subscriber is surprised by the fact that Kyivstar charges for the very fact of having a SIM card in the device. Therefore, he turns to the operator with a demand to return the money.
“Kyivstar mobile company, what kind of obvious robbery is this? They took UAH 30/day of subscription fees from the account at night. The question is simple and clear: for what? I didn’t call. I didn’t send SMS. I didn’t use the mobile Internet at all. The only “violation” is that the SIM card is simply in the phone. So it turns out, now funds are withdrawn for the very fact of the existence of the SIM card? Or for nothing? Or for the silence of the subscriber? This is not similar to providing services, and if the services were not provided, why should I pay for them? If I will not use the services until the end of the day, then the operator must return the money, not the paid SIM card,” said the man.

Kyivstar withholds 30 hryvnias when there are not enough funds on the balance to pay the main amount of the tariff, which leads to the activation of the daily package of services. It includes unlimited calls within the Kyivstar network and unlimited Internet with no speed limit (or up to 0.8 Mbit/s in roaming) until the end of the day.
When this happens:
If on the day of payment of the tariff there is not enough money in the account for the full payment of the tariff plan, Kyivstar automatically withdraws UAH 30 per package for one day. This happens when the subscriber missed the main tariff payment, but needs access to communication services.
