In his career as a football player, he defended the colors of “Karpat”, SKA (Lviv), “Spartak” from Ordzhonikidze and “Torpedo” from Lutsk.
At the coaching level, he worked with a number of Ukrainian and foreign clubs, in particular “Karpaty”, “Metalist”, “Dnipro”, and also led the national team of Ukraine.
During his career, Markevich repeatedly won medals of the championship of Ukraine and reached the final of the Europa League in 2015.
