The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense Kyrylo Budanov congratulated the intelligence officers on the Day of the Department of Active Actions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Budanov wrote about this in Telegram.
“Today, February 1, is an important day for me and for every member of the military intelligence special forces – the Day of the Department of Active Actions of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Congratulations, brothers,” wrote Budanov.
According to him, service in the special units of the GUR is a special school of life and combat brotherhood. “Special units of the GUR are a school of real life, and I am proud to be part of our combat fraternity. It means a lot to each of us. This feeling is with us forever, because no matter where we are, we will always be together, and there is a lot of difficult and important work ahead for the country,” he noted.
Budanov emphasized that a new generation of fighters of the Department of Active Actions, which has a unique experience of modern warfare, is currently in service. According to him, these soldiers are hardened in battles for the freedom of Ukraine, are well trained and equipped, and most importantly, they are devoted to the idea of the liberation struggle.
“The whole world sees your professionalism, bravery and effectiveness during the war with the Russian aggressor on land, on water and in the air. I wish you good health, strength and good luck on the way to war,” the Head of the Ukrainian Military Academy emphasized.
Separately, he honored the memory of the fallen soldiers of the special forces. “A word of honor to the special officers of the Department of Active Actions of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who died for the will and dignity of the Ukrainian nation – eternal glory to the real heroes! Respect and gratitude to all soldiers who are currently performing combat tasks,” Budanov added.
