The match was planned to be held at the “Lokomotiv” sports complex in Kharkiv, but the team from the Poltava region did not come to the game. “Reshetylivka” issued an official statement on social networks, in which it explained its decision with considerations for the safety of the players and club staff. At the same time, the team emphasized that it does not refuse to hold the match and is ready to play it in a safer place.
The official position of the VC “National team of Poltava region” – VC “Reshetylivka” regarding the match of the Cup of UkraineVC “National team of Poltava region – VC “Reshetylivka” will not participate in the 1/4 final match of the Cup of Ukraine against “Lokomotiv 1945 Kharkiv”, scheduled for January 31, 2026 in Kharkiv.
At the same time, we do not refuse to hold the game altogether and confirm our readiness to play the match within the regulations, but only in a safe or neutral arena.
The city of Kharkiv is in the zone of increased risk due to air alarms and attacks, which threatens the life and health of athletes, coaches and staff. We repeatedly, both verbally and in writing, appealed to the Federation to postpone the match, but Lokomotiv 1945 Kharkiv did not confirm the change of venue.
Previously, the FSU Directorate did not object to holding the game in another agreed place and ensuring the presence of arbitrators, but emphasized that the Federation cannot single-handedly resolve the conflict issue – this is the competence of the Appeals Committee. We appealed to the Appeals Committee, but we have not yet received a decision. After that, a letter was sent with a request to postpone the date of the match pending the decision of the Appeals Committee.
In this regard, we ask you not to hold the match and not to consider it as having taken place until the decision of the Appeals Committee of the GO of FVU. The club confirms its readiness to act exclusively within the framework of the regulations and procedures of the Federation in compliance with all requirements, ensuring the safety of athletes and all competition participants.
