Lazio cruised to a dramatic 3-2 win over Genoa in the 23rd round of Italian Serie A. The game in Rome was goalless at half-time, but the teams staged a thriller in the second half with three penalties and a decisive goal in the tenth minute of stoppage time.

The score was opened in the 56th minute — Pedro confidently converted from the penalty spot after reviewing the VAR. The home side doubled their lead within six minutes as Kenneth Taylor scored his first goal for Lazio, finishing off Isaksen’s pass from the wing.

Genoa quickly returned the intrigue to the match. In the 67th minute, Ruslan Malinovskyi converted a penalty, and eight minutes later, the guests equalized – Vitinho Oliveira took advantage of a mistake by Lazio’s defense after a corner kick. In this stretch, the initiative completely passed to the Genoese, and the Romans looked confused.

The solution came already in the compensated time. In the 97th minute, the referee awarded the third penalty in the match – for a handball by a Genoa defender. Danilo Cataldi approached the ball and coolly shot into the corner, despite the fact that the goalkeeper guessed the direction of the shot. This goal gave Lazio the all-important three points.
