“The enemy launched one missile attack, using one missile, 42 air strikes, and dropped 106 guided air bombs. In addition, it used 4,358 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,117 attacks on populated areas and positions of our troops,” the summary reads as of 10:00 p.m.
More than half of the battles were recorded in four directions – Yuzhno-Slobozhansky in Kharkiv Oblast, Pokrovsky and Kostyantynivsky in Donetsk Oblast, and Gulyaipilsky in Zaporizhzhia.
“On the South-Slobozhansk direction, the enemy stormed the positions of our units in the areas of Staritsa, Prylipka, Vovchanski Khutory, Vovchansk and in the direction of Krugli, Hryhorivka, Figolivka, Petro-Ivanivka. Ukrainian units repelled 17 attacks, three more combat clashes are currently ongoing.
In the direction of Kostyantynivka, the occupiers stormed the positions of our defenders 14 times today near the settlements of Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopillia, Sofiivka, and towards Illinivka, Stepanivka, and Novopavlivka.
The enemy made 38 attacks in the Pokrovsky direction. The occupiers tried to advance in the areas of Myrnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlyna, Udachne, Molodetske, Filia and towards Ivanovka and Rodinsky. In some locations, fighting is still going on.
There were 17 attacks by the occupiers in the Gulyaipol direction – in the Gulyaipol area and in the direction of Zeleny, Dobropill, Gulyaipil and Olenokostiantynivka. In some locations, the fighting continues to this day. “Rizdvyanka, Barvinivka, Kopani, Vozdvizhivka, Zaliznychne, Dorozhnyanka and Charivne were hit by enemy airstrikes,” the message states.
Battles also continued in the Kupyansk, Lymansk, Slavyansk, Oleksandrivsk, Orichivsk and Prydniprovsk directions.

On January 22, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that the Defense Forces continue to restrain Russian troops in Pokrovsk and Myrnograd in Donetsk region, as small groups of the Russian Federation are trying to infiltrate the northern regions of both cities. He noted that as a result of the active assault actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, another attempt by the Russian invaders to seize these settlements was thwarted.
Fighting in Pokrovsk has been going on since October 2025, when the Russian army managed to break through to the city after several months of fighting on its slopes. Almost immediately, Russian soldiers began to be recorded in Pokrovsk’s satellite city of Mirnograd.
The Pokrovsky direction, according to the reports of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, constantly leads in terms of the number of Russian assaults.
