Russia published a list of the dead Russian soldiers from the cruiser “Moskva”

Russian volunteers from the Mediazone project, the Russian service of the BBC published a list of 28 people who died and went missing after Ukraine hit the Moscow cruiser in 2022.

Details: The Russian 2nd Western District Military Court previously reported that 20 people were killed and 8 others were missing as a result of the attack on the missile cruiser “Moskva”.

The court publication also stated that the cruiser was sunk as a result of missile strikes by the Ukrainian army. The court also cited official data on the victims: 20 dead crew members and 24 wounded, 8 sailors were declared missing.

At least 20 of the dead were conscripts. Most of those who drowned with the ship lived in the annexed Crimea or Sevastopol (15 people).

• Hepluk Vyacheslav Mykhailovych, 35 years old, captain-lieutenant from Sevastopol;
• Danylo Mykhailovych Herok, 22 years old, senior sailor from Sevastopol;
• Grudinin Serhiy Serhiyovych, 21 years old, military officer, sailor from the village of Ilyinivka, Zhovtne district, Amur region, is considered missing;
• Yefimov Pavlo Oleksiyovych, 21 years old, enlisted man, sailor from Samara;
• Yefremenko Mykyta Serhiyovych, 19 years old, enlisted man, sailor from the city of Priozersk, Leningrad region;
• Danylo Eduardovych Kitaev, 18 years old, enlisted man, senior sailor from Balaklava, Sevastopol;
• Kovalev Volodymyr Oleksiyovych, 22 years old, a senior sailor from the village of Melikhovska, Ust-Donetsk district, Rostov region;
• Kozyr Akym Oleksandrovych, 23 years old, conscript, private from Sevastopol;
• Valery Olegovich Kryvorog, 37 years old, captain-lieutenant from Sevastopol, is considered missing;
• Ihor Olehovych Kutnyak, 22 years old, enlisted man, sailor from Sevastopol, is considered missing;
• Muhammed Serverovych Murtazaev, 18 years old, conscript, sailor from the village of Maiske, Dzhankoy District, Crimea, is considered missing.
• Maksym Oleksandrovych Naumkin, 23 years old, lieutenant from the city of Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai;
• Pozdnyakov Serhiy Serhiyovych, 19 years old, a soldier, a private from the village of Zybiny, Biloghir District, Crimea;

• Shakuro Georgy Heyyamovich, 20 years old, conscript, sailor from Sevastopol;
• Shirinkin Viktor Yuriyovych, 20 years old, a soldier, a sailor from the village of Krasnorechenka, Grybaniv district, Voronezh region;
• Yehor Dmytrovych Shkrebets, 20 years old, soldier, private from Sevastopol;

Prehistory:

• The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation cruiser “Moskva” was hit by the Ukrainian anti-ship missile complex “Neptune” in mid-April 2022.
• The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed the explosion on the cruiser, but stated that the ammunition detonated on board, the sailors were evacuated, and the cruiser itself “maintained buoyancy.” Then the Russian ministry said that “Moscow” sank during towing to Sevastopol in stormy conditions.
