For the first time since 1989. Australian Open 2026 mixed champions determined

Australian tandem Olivia Hadecki / John Pearce won the 2026 Australian Open mixed doubles trophy.

In the final, the Australians defeated the French duo in a super tie-break Kristina Mladenovych / Manuel Guinar in 1 hour and 34 minutes.

Olivia Hadecki (Australia) / John Pierce (Australia) – Kristina Mladenovych (France) / Manuel Guinard (France) – 4:6, 6:3, [10:8]

On the way to the trophy, Gadeki and Pearce beat the duets of Vera Zvonoreva / Luka Miedler, Laura Siegemund / Edouard Roger-Vasselin, Aleksandra Krunych / Mate Pavych and Taylor Townsend / Nikola Mektych.

Gadeki and Pearce won their second trophy together, having also won the Australian Open last year. Olivia and John became the first couple since 1989 to defend the trophy in Melbourne.

For Olivia, this title became the second Grand Slam tournament. Joe now has four major trophies (doubles AO-2017, mixed at US Open 2022).
