The Ministry of Health of Ukraine appealed to citizens with an urgent request to make blood donations.
As the department reported on its official Facebook page, the number of donors traditionally decreases in January, but this year severe frosts added to seasonal difficulties.
This situation has a direct impact on the supply of blood and its components, which makes it difficult to provide emergency care to the wounded in military and civilian medical facilities.
Together with the Ukrainian Center for Transplant Coordination, which coordinates the work of the blood service throughout the country, the Ministry of Health emphasizes the critical need for donations.
“Someone needs this blood urgently,” the ministry notes.
All blood service centers continue to work as usual and are provided with alternative power sources, which guarantees uninterrupted work even during blackouts.

This resource also contains detailed information about which blood group and Rh factor is most needed in different regions of Ukraine. This allows potential donors to choose the most relevant aid option for them.
