English Premier League clubs were ready to pay 40-50 million euros for Hoffenheim striker Tim Lemperle before the end of the transfer window.

Atletico Madrid are also interested in the 23-year-old forward, but none of the options currently have a chance to materialize.

As reported journalist Florian Plettenberg, The management of Hoffenheim, led by sports director Andreas Schicker, does not consider the sale of Lemperle. The footballer himself is also determined to stay at the club at least until the end of the season.

Lemperle is said to want to use the second half of the campaign to attract the attention of Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann and help Hoffenheim challenge for a place in the Champions League.

In the current Bundesliga season, the striker is a key player of the team: he has six goals and two assists in 19 matches, making him one of the discoveries of the championship.
