In particular, the refinery in Kirishi, Leningrad region plans to ship 111,000 tons through the Baltic port of Ust-Luga next month, and all possible exports in February-March are estimated at 700,000-900,000 tons per month.
Currently, the export of gasoline from Russia is prohibited until the end of February. The restrictions were introduced in September 2025. As “Kommersant” claims, the Ministry of Energy submitted to the government a few days ago a draft resolution on the cancellation of the ban already in February.
The lifting of the embargo may, among other things, indicate that Russian refineries are recovering after Ukrainian drone attacks that caused production to stop or disrupt operations at a number of facilities.
News about the possible lifting of restrictions on foreign supplies has already affected stock market quotations. The price of the AI-92 stamp on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange on January 19-28 increased by 5.9%, the publication notes.
