Details: According to the US Secretary of State, diplomats are currently trying to find common ground between the positions of Kyiv and Moscow, but progress in this matter remains limited.

“I know there is active work going on to try to figure out if we can reconcile the views of both sides on this issue. It’s still a bridge we haven’t crossed,” he told lawmakers.
“It’s still a disagreement, but at least we’ve narrowed it down to one central issue, and it’s probably going to be a very difficult issue, but it’s still a work in progress,” he added.
Rubio acknowledged the political difficulty for Ukraine to even consider “the idea that you could consider changing territories.”
“In the case of Russia, they’ve been telling their citizens for two and a half years now that they’re winning this war by a huge margin. So people are going to wonder why we’re surrendering territory if we’re winning so confidently?” Rubio said.
He described the pace of development as changing and fast.
Rubio also said he is in contact with special envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner “probably 10 times a day.”
