Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group co-chairs and CEOs saw their studio earn an impressive 30 Academy Award nominations including a historic 16 nods for Ryan Coogler’s Sinners and 13 for Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Anotherfilms they championed.
Understandably, their dance card is filling up as Abdy and De Luca are confirmed to serve as co-chairs of the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s 24th annual Night Before event, which will also feature a special DJ set by Diplo. Additional event co-chairs and members of the host committee are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
“The Night Before is a meaningful reminder of what we can accomplish when we support one another,” said Abdy and De Luca in a joint statement. “MPTF remains essential to our creative community, and we’re honored to co-chair this year’s event.”
The Night Before event in Los Angeles — MPTF’s largest fundraiser of the year that raises money to provide support and services to working and retired entertainment members of the entertainment industry — will be supported this year by presenting sponsors City National Bank, Delta Air Lines, L’Oreal Groupe and UCLA Health.
