Former defender of “Veres” Nazar Balaba can continue his career in “Fenix-Mariupol”, reports Sport Arena.
Earlier, the center back left Yuksa and does not plan to return to the Rivne club, allegedly due to a loss of motivation. In December, “Veres” terminated his contract.
Balaba was brought up in the academy of Dynamo Kyiv from the age of 12 and was the captain of the U-19 team in the 2024/25 season. In the summer of last year, he moved to YUKSA, and this season he played 12 matches in the First League.
“Phoenix-Mariupol” finished the autumn part of the season in 14th position and made it to the 1/4 finals of the Cup of Ukraine, where they will play against “Chernihiv” (March 3-5). Balaba’s transfer can strengthen the team’s defensive line.
