Goalkeeper Philipp Jorgensen is expected to continue with Chelsea after the close of the winter transfer window. The management of the blues has no intention of letting the player go. Jorgensen has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs in England, Germany and Turkey this month.

However, Chelsea rejected the possibility of a transfer. A recent injury could also play a role, with Jorgensen picking up the injury against Cypriot side Paphos last week, complicating any potential negotiations in the final days of the window.

Jorgensen joined Chelsea from Villarreal in July 2024 for £20m. His first season in London was promising, making 24 appearances, becoming the main goalkeeper in cup competitions and a key factor in the team’s success in the Conference League.

However, in the current season, the Dane’s status has changed — at the moment, he has been limited to only eight appearances in all tournaments.
