The film “2000 meters to Andriivka” was shortlisted for the BAFTA award

The Ukrainian film “2000 meters to Andriivka” directed by Mstislav Chernov was shortlisted for the BAFTA award.

In addition to this Ukrainian film, the shortlists in the Documentary category included: “Apocalypse in the Tropics,” “Hiding,” “Mr. Nobody vs. Putin,” and “The Perfect Neighbor.”

This year, the award ceremony will take place on February 22 in London.

Chernov’s film is dedicated to one of the episodes of the Ukrainian counteroffensive in 2023 – the battles for the village of Andriivka, located 10 kilometers from Bakhmut. Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine managed to drive the Russian troops out of the village, but after some time it was captured by them again.
