Details: It is noted that the Kyiv Court of Appeals satisfied the appeal of the prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office and annulled the decision of the court of first instance regarding the determination of an alternative preventive measure in the form of bail (in the amount of 33 million 280 thousand hryvnias – ed.).

The appellate court agreed with the prosecution’s arguments about the presence of risks provided for by criminal procedural law, including the possibility of influencing witnesses, obstructing criminal proceedings and evading justice.
A preventive measure in the form of custody of a People’s Deputy suspected of high treason was left without the alternative of posting bail.
What preceded: On January 15, it became known that in the case of high treason, the court extended the arrest of People’s Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky, and at the same time determined an alternative to detention – a bail of 33 million 280 thousand hryvnias.

- In September 2024, the State Bureau of Investigation completed an investigation into Dubinsky and four other people who committed treason as part of a criminal organization.
- Dubinsky is also suspected of forgery in order to travel abroad.
