The White House denied that the US offered Ukraine security guarantees in exchange for leaving Donbas

The deputy press secretary of the White House, Anna Kelly, called the media report that the US is ready to provide security guarantees to Ukraine only in exchange for its agreement to withdraw troops from Donbas “a lie.”

Details: A source familiar with the US position told the Financial Times that Washington “is not trying to impose any territorial concessions on Ukraine.” At the same time, security guarantees from the US depend on the readiness of both sides to conclude a peace agreement, and its content depends only on Russia and Ukraine.
