As the correspondent of Radio Svoboda reported, the march took place along the same route as 12 years ago, when Zhyznevskiy was escorted on his last journey on his birthday, January 26.
The participants of the march marched from Mykhailivska Square through the central streets of Kyiv, on the Independence Square near the flag memorial, they honored the memory of Mykhailo Zhyznevskyi and all Belarusians who died for Ukraine since 2014. Every dead person was remembered by name on the Maidan.
The march ended on Hrushevskyi Street at the place of Mykhailo Zhyznevskyi’s death.
Earlier that day, on January 26, the Kastus Kalynovsky regiment reported the death of three Belarusians exactly one year ago in the Zaporozhye region. Previously, this information was not officially submitted.
According to the Belarusian service of Radio Liberty, several hundred volunteers from Belarus are currently participating in the war on the side of Ukraine. The total number of Belarusians who have participated in hostilities against Russia since 2014 is more than a thousand.
