In one of the game episodes, Oleksandr was injured after colliding with a legionnaire of the Zhytomyr club Joao Vialle. Oleksandr even needed the help of doctors.
After training, Joao told how he almost injured Oleksandr Usyk. The legionnaire admitted that he had begged Alexander several times:
– You almost injured the world champion, you are a very brave person…
– Today I walked on the edge of a knife. Luckily, he didn’t get angry, so we stayed friends. No problems and disputes. I didn’t want that.
– Did you ask him if everything is fine?
– Yes, yes. I asked three or four times to make sure everything was okay, said the legionnaire.
Oleksandr also reacted to the situation, but was quite emotional immediately after the collision: “Why am I limping? He played football, damn it,” Usyk said emotionally.
In the current season of the Ukrainian Premier League, Polissya occupies the third place in the tournament table, having 30 tournament points after 16 matches played.
