“Our national security agencies have analyzed this latest attack in Ukraine and have come to the conclusion that these events are part of a coordinated series of actions by Ukraine aimed at interfering in elections in Hungary, but we cannot allow anyone to jeopardize Hungary’s sovereignty or the integrity of Hungarian elections,” the Hungarian Prime Minister said.

Therefore, Orbán noted, today he instructed the Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Sijarto to invite the ambassador of Ukraine to Hungary. “We will protect the sovereignty and interests of Hungary,” Viktor Orban promised.

Last week, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that “every Victor who tries to sell European interests deserves a slap on the back of the head.” In his speech, he did not specify which Victor he was talking about.

Orbán responded to Zelensky’s speech in Davos by saying that “everyone will get what they deserve.”

Last week, Orban also said that in the next 100 years, “there will be no parliament in Hungary that would vote for Ukraine’s entry into the EU.”

This provoked a dispute with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiga, who stated that the plans of the Hungarian Prime Minister to block Ukraine’s membership in the EU are doomed to failure, as “Orban’s master” in Moscow will not last another 100 years.

Sibiga also compared Orbán to Hitler’s puppet and accused him of blocking the restoration of peace in Europe.
