The cyber police and regional police investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Galician district prosecutor’s office, found that in 2024, the inspector of the specialized department organized open tenders for the purchase of two generators at an inflated price. At the same time, only one predetermined supplier took part in the tender.

Later, a contract was concluded between the village council and a private enterprise – the “winner” of the bidding – for the supply of generators at a price that exceeded their actual cost by more than UAH 480,000. As a result, the community suffered losses in the specified amount.

The man was informed of suspicion under part 2 of Art. 364 KKU. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of night house arrest and removed him from his post. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
