Lazio and Atalanta are close to agreeing a deal for attacking midfielder Daniele Maldini, son of legendary defender Paolo Maldini.

This was reported by Italian insider Nicola Scira. According to him, the clubs are already at the stage of processing documents. We are talking about renting a football player worth 1 million euros with the right of redemption for 11 million euros. Atalanta can receive another 2 million euros in the form of bonuses if Lazio qualifies for the European Cups.

In the event of a full-fledged transfer, Maldini is expected to sign a contract with the Roman club until 2030, and his annual salary will be 1.4 million euros.

Daniel Maldini is a pupil of Milan. After several loans and a season at Monza, he joined Atalanta in February 2025 for €13 million.

In the current season, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder played 11 matches in all competitions and scored one assist.
