Arsenal vs Man Utd preview Two of English football’s greatest rivals go toe-to-toe once more, with plenty on the line again.

The solely Premier League head-to-head shows it’s been a competitive fixture across the years, with Arsenal winning 22 of the 67 games they’ve played, Manchester United winning 26 and 19 draws.

The Gunners have effectively been handed a straight run at the title but have just hit some hurdles in recent weeks.

While their title challengers continue to toil, Arsenal sit seven points clear but will absolutely feel that distance could and should be a lot greater.

Back-to-back goalless draws in the top flight at home to Liverpool and away at relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest have just dampened what is a solid run of form since their late defeat at Aston Villa.

Two good wins at Chelsea and Inter either side of last weekend City Ground blank show their is definitely life in the side and after four successive games on the road, they’re back in front of the Emirates crowd.

And they’ll welcome a Manchester United side buoyed by their derby dominance last weekend.

United with Michael Carrick in charge for the first time were everything they haven’t been in recent years – on the front foot, aggressive, direct and a relatively decent watch.

Clearly Man City had their issues, not least in naming an average back four, but United took advantage and their only gripe was that they didn’t win by more.

United last won here in a competitive fixture back in 2019 in an FA Cup clash, with their last league victory here in 2017!
