Details: Trump said the secret weapons “knocked out the equipment” when US helicopters arrived in Caracas on January 3 to arrest Maduro and his wife on drug and arms-trafficking charges.

“Discombobulator. I’m not allowed to talk about it,” Trump said during an exclusive interview in the Oval Office, noting that he would “really like” to talk more about this weapon.
The word Discombobulator comes from the English verb to discombobulate, which is a way of saying “to confuse” or “to disorient.”
“They were never able to launch their missiles. They had Russian and Chinese missiles, and none of them went off. We went in, they pushed the buttons, but nothing worked. And they were waiting for us in full readiness,” the US president added.
Trump commented on the use of the weapon when asked about the Biden administration’s reported purchase of pulse energy weapons suspected of causing the “Havana syndrome.”
Little is known about the weapons themselves, but the reports dovetail with reports from the scene in Venezuela describing armed Maduro supporters falling to their knees with “nosebleeds” and vomiting blood.
One member of Maduro’s security later recalled: “Suddenly all our radar systems went off without any explanation. The next thing we saw were drones, lots of drones flying over our positions. We didn’t know how to react.”
The discombobulator was then allegedly aimed directly at Maduro’s bodyguards.
“At some point they started something; I don’t know how to describe it. It was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside. We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. We couldn’t even get up after this sonic weapon – or whatever it was,” said an eyewitness.
What preceded: Previously, the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, ridiculed the work of the Russian air defense system, which did not work during the American special operation in Caracas.
