On the morning of January 24, a two-month-old child died in a road accident near Berestin, a woman and a four-year-old child were injured, the police of the Kharkiv region reported.

“The accident happened on January 24 around 07:15 on the Berestyn-Poltava highway near the city of Berestyn. “According to preliminary information, the 26-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer lost control, as a result of which the vehicle went to the side of the road and overturned,” the agency wrote.

According to the report, the passengers of the car – a 24-year-old woman and a four-year-old child – were injured as a result of the accident. A two-month-old child died from the injuries he received.

The investigative and operational team of the police and the employees of the emergency services worked at the scene.

Based on this fact, the investigators entered information into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations pursuant to Part 2 of Art. 286 (violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In the Kharkiv region on January 6, 18 people were injured as a result of a collision between a passenger car and a passenger bus.
