In Italy, Dovbyk’s failure in Roma and his relationship with Gasperina were explained

Forward of the national team of Ukraine Artem Dovbyk failed to gain a foothold in the Italian “Roma” due to disagreements with the head coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

This was reported by the journalists of the Goal publication in a material devoted to the problems of the Ukrainian forward. Dovbyk will not be able to help the Roman team for two to three months due to an injury and an operation.

“From the very beginning, Artem and Gasperini did not have the necessary interaction. The coach was looking for a central striker with other characteristics that the Ukrainian did not possess.

Gasperini publicly demanded more dedication from the forward, criticizing his attitude to the game. Over time, Dovbyk found more and more space in the Giallorossi rotation, scoring three goals in 13 championship matches. However, the relationship between the coach and the player did not improve.
