Anti-corruption authorities are conducting a full review of the declaration of the mayor of the front-line Marganets Hennadiy Borovyk for the year 2023. As part of the investigation, the detectives appealed to the banking institutions with a demand to disclose the banking secrecy regarding the accounts of the official himself, as well as his family members and relatives.
According to the sources, the law enforcement officers are interested in a full range of financial data: availability of bank accounts, balances of funds, movement of money indicating the destination of payments, rental agreements for safe deposit boxes and intra-bank powers of attorney. The verification is carried out on the basis of the law “On Prevention of Corruption” and concerns, in particular, income, savings and loans declared during the period of full-scale war.
It is worth noting that the declarations of Gennady Borovyk for the years 2023-2024 are currently not publicly available — they are not displayed either on the NAZK portal or in open data analytical systems. At the same time, according to Ukrainian media publications, already in 2023, the mayor of Marganets declared significant monetary assets, land plots and business assets, which could attract the attention of anti-corruption authorities.
Previously, it was written how a criminal scheme flourishes without any shame in the rear of Lviv, cynically using state bodies for corporate raiding, and the main architects of this scheme are former and current officials of the Economic Security Bureau together with petty judges.
