“We, FC Chernihiv, want to play with Dynamo in the final of the Ukrainian Cup this year. Well, take Yarmolenko home,” the club said.
Yarmolenko is a pupil of Chernihiv football, where he played for the local teams “Yunist” and “Desna”. In 2006, he joined Dynamo Kyiv, whose colors he defended until 2017.
After a period in the championships of Germany, England and the UAE, the winger returned to Kyiv. In the current season, he played 20 matches in which he scored four goals.
In the 1/4 finals of the Cup of Ukraine, “Dynamo” will play against “Ingulets”, and the opponent of “Chernihiv” will be “Phoenix-Mariupol”.
It is worth noting that the Chernihiv team has previously, in a humorous (or not?) form, confessed its desire to return Yarmolenko to Chernihiv football.
