According to the State Emergency Service, on January 22, as a result of an UAV attack, one of the city’s mines was cut off: the miners were trapped at the horizons of -1135 m, -865 m and -475 m
Mine rescuers decided to take people out on foot through vertical and inclined workings. It is reported that, accompanied by employees of the State Emergency Service, the mine workers covered almost 7 kilometers of underground workings. The rescue operation lasted 6 hours.
Another mine with 92 workers stopped after midnight due to another blackout. Thus, the mine rescuers worked according to a well-established scheme: the miners were lifted to the surface using the principle of counterweight of the mine cage – the rescue operation lasted 4 hours, added the State Emergency Service.

The Russian military regularly attacks Ukrainian regions with various types of weapons – attack UAVs, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles, and anti-aircraft missiles.
The leadership of Russia denies that the Russian army during a full-scale war inflicts targeted strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the cities and villages of Ukraine, killing the civilian population and destroying hospitals, schools, kindergartens, energy and water supply facilities.
The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations qualify these strikes as war crimes of the Russian Federation and emphasize that they are purposeful in nature.
