Leicester have confirmed the transfer of winger Alisha Lehmann from Como. The transfer is permanent and will take place subject to completion of all necessary league and international registration procedures. The soccer player signed a contract until the summer of 2028.

The Swiss player returns to the Barclays Women’s Super League after a two-year spell in Italy. The deal is for two-and-a-half years and Lehmann has already joined the squad at their Belvoir Drive training base.

“I feel great and I’m very happy to be here. It’s like coming home to England again and I’m really happy. Leicester is an ambitious club. I’ve seen the training ground and the stadium. They want to develop women’s football here.”

Alisha Lehmann was born in Tegertsch, Switzerland and started her professional career in 2016 with Young Boys where she spent three seasons in the top division. She later moved to the English Women’s Super League, joining West Ham United, with whom she reached the FA Cup final and established herself in the first team.

In the 2020/21 season, Lehmann played on loan for Everton, after which she signed a contract with Aston Villa. For three seasons as part of the club from Birmingham, she played 75 matches in the championship and scored 14 goals.

In 2024, the footballer returned to continental football, becoming a player of Juventus, with whom she won the Italian championship and the Cup of the country, after which she spent another season in Como.

At international level, Lehmann made her debut for the Swiss national team at the age of 17 and has since made 64 appearances for the national team. In total, she has more than 250 matches at the adult level.
