On January 23, emergency power outages were announced in several regions of Ukraine due to the difficult situation in the power system that arose as a result of Russian shelling.

Previously planned blackout schedules in these regions are currently not in effect as energy workers work to stabilize the power supply.

At the same time, “Ukrenergo” warns that the situation in the power system may change, so the population should follow the messages of local power grid operators. Competent consumption of electricity in conditions of increased risks is extremely important, especially in the cold season.

“Preliminarily published power outage schedules in regions where emergency shutdowns have been applied are currently not in effect. “Energy workers are working to restore a stable electricity supply as soon as possible,” the message reads.

Emergency shutdowns will be canceled only after normalization of the situation. Experts note that it is necessary to be prepared for both short-term and long-term outages. In the event of a power outage, it is important to provide yourself with the necessary supplies, as conditions can be unpredictable.

In the 18-story experimental building at 2 Obolonska Square, the situation with engineering networks reached a critical limit.

As of the morning of January 22, a little less than 3,000 high-rise buildings remain without heat supply in Kyiv. In the capital, work is ongoing to restore heat supply after damage to the infrastructure.

Residents of a residential building in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv at 32 Zabolotny Street are on the brink of a communal disaster and are begging for help. There is no heating in the high-rise building for the third week, water supply for the third day, and the residents have been without electricity for the last two days.
