Brazilian football confederation and coach of the national team Carlo Ancelotti reached a verbal agreement on the extension of cooperation until the end of the 2030 World Cup, reports Globo.
The Italian specialist returns to Rio de Janeiro on Friday, January 22, after his vacation. It is predicted that the official signing of the documents will take place in the first half of February. The dialogue on the extension of powers began in October and continued until the end of the year, in the end Ancelotti accepted the conditions proposed by the federation.
At the moment, the Italian is the highest-paid coach of national teams in the world with a salary of about 10 million euros. The new contract provides for the maintenance of the current salary level, but includes an updated system of bonuses for the achievement of specific sports goals.
