Catalan Barcelona made an official statement regarding the future leadership of the club. The board of directors has finally decided on the date of the presidential election.

According to the official notification, the voting will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026. It is on this day that the official members of the club (socios) will be able to cast their votes for the candidate who will lead the giant of world football in the coming years.

The decision kicks off the official election process and the candidate race, which promises to be hot.

The new president will take office on July 1. The position is currently held by Joan Laporta from 2021, who will also run for office. Other contenders are Victor Font, Javier Vilajoana and Mark Siria.
