Zelensky made the argument that US President Donald Trump is stopping Russian tankers.
“Europe likes to discuss the future, but avoids taking measures today, measures that determine what kind of future we will have, that’s the problem. Why can President Trump stop tankers from the shadow fleet and stop the supply of oil, but Europe can’t?” the president addressed the participants of the forum.
Zelensky emphasized that by stopping the supply of Russian oil, Europe is protecting its population.
“Russian oil is transported along European shores, this oil contributes to the war against Ukraine, this oil helps to paralyze Europe, so Russian oil should be stopped, confiscated and sold for the benefit of Europe. Why not? If Putin has no money, then there will be no war for Europe,” said Zelensky.
Before speaking at the forum, the President of Ukraine met with his American colleague Donald Trump.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump ended recently and lasted approximately 50 minutes. In Zelensky’s team called her “good”.
