The Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy recommends that the Verkhovna Rada approve in general the draft law on simplifying the mechanism of acquisition of property ownership rights by minors and minors.
This was reported in the press service of the Verkhovna Rada apparatus.
It is about draft law No. 12254 on amending the second part of Article 32 of the Civil Code of Ukraine. The document stipulates that parents or guardians are obliged to take care of the preservation and use of the child’s property exclusively in his interests.
The draft law proposes not to require the permission of guardianship and guardianship authorities in cases where a child acquires property free of charge, in particular real estate, which he already uses.
It also provides for the possibility of concluding transactions without the consent of one of the parents, if he is in captivity, has disappeared, does not live with the child for more than six months and does not participate in his upbringing and maintenance, or if his place of residence is unknown.
“The Legal Policy Committee notes that the adoption of this bill will simplify the mechanism for minors and minors to acquire ownership rights to real estate, objects of unfinished construction, future real estate objects, other valuable property, in particular vehicles, without creating additional bureaucratic obstacles and delaying the moment when they acquire ownership rights to property,” the message reads.
As reported, people’s deputies supported this draft law on November 4, 2025.
We would like to remind you that Law No. 4609-IX recently entered into force in Ukraine, which strengthens security measures in institutions of general secondary education. The document, in particular, introduces new rules for staying on the territory and in the premises of schools, as well as sets stricter requirements for employees.
Also entered into force Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Strengthening Certain Guarantees of Media and Journalist Activities and Ensuring Citizens’ Right to Access to Information.” The document guarantees the transparency of the work of state and local authorities, as well as open access of citizens and the media to information about their activities.
