“It was 2014, when the Russians had just entered Crimea. I was offered to go to St. Petersburg for a festival and pay 10,000 dollars. I didn’t even consider this offer. For me, it was a fundamental no,” Pekun said.

According to the actress, her position was always more important than money, and the stage is not only work, but also a responsibility to the country and listeners.

The other day, despite the war and the difficult realities of today, Oksana Pekun presented a new song “Kolya – another fate”. The composition became a kind of creative reboot and a reflection of the internal changes that the singer experienced during the years of full-scale war.

The premiere of the song coincided with the artist’s deep personal experiences related to the war and human tragedies she had seen over the years.
