On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, the territory of Ukraine will be under the influence of a high pressure area, which will provide changeable cloudiness without precipitation, but with significant night frosts.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, the lowest temperatures are expected in the western, northern and Vinnytsia regions, where thermometers will drop to 12-17° below zero at night, and in some places to minus 20°. 5–10° of frost is forecast in these regions during the day. There will be ice on the country’s roads in some places, and fog is possible in the southwestern part at night and in the morning.

Milder weather is expected in the south of the country and in Transcarpathia, where during the day the air will warm up to 2°C, which will lead to thawing. In the rest of the territory, 10–15° of frost are forecast at night, and from 2° to 7° below zero during the day. The warming is caused by the arrival of warmer air masses at high altitudes, but the frost will weaken slowly near the earth’s surface.

Tomorrow will also be dry and frosty in Kyiv and the Kyiv region: 13–15° of frost is expected in the capital at night, and about 5–7° of frost during the day.

We will remind you what the weather will be like in Ukraine in January.
