In Ukraine, they want to change the approach to assigning pensions and social benefits: the Ministry of Statistics revealed the detailsThe Ministry of Digital Affairs noted that they plan to simplify all payments / photo ua.depositphotos.comIn Ukraine, they want to introduce fully proactive pension and social services, so that citizens receive payments automatically, without collecting certificates and visiting institutions. Valeriya Koval, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, said this in an interview with UNIAN.

“What will definitely happen is a proactive pension. Now, in order to receive a pension, you need to come, confirm your seniority, bring some certificates, if you worked at the temporary Mayak factory, which does not exist at all, because it was the Soviet Union. You have to go to the archive, look for this name and confirm your seniority,” said Koval.

According to her, in case of disagreement with the automatic accrual of a pension, a citizen will be able to appeal the decision, but the basic process of accrual should be started automatically without additional appeals.

“According to our logic, everything should happen very quickly. If you have an old-age pension, you can choose not on your birthday, so as not to upset you, but on the next day, the card on which you want your pension to be credited. Here it is such and such an amount,” said the deputy minister.

She also emphasized that it is especially important to change the logic of assigning assistance to families with disabilities or people who do not work and need state support.

“Unfortunately, we have many families that need help from the state, because they either have children with disabilities, or the parents themselves have a disability. And now they have to prove to the state that they need help. I strongly believe that this should not happen, because there are registers that contain information about a person’s employment. We understand whether a person works or not. If he does not work, if he has a disability, he should automatically receive help from the state,” Koval said.

According to her, in the future, the state will be able to send push notifications with a ready-made social payment offer, where a person will only have to agree and choose an account for depositing funds.

However, there are no exact dates for the introduction of such services. At present, these are visionary plans of the department.

Payments to Ukrainians are the main news From January 1, 2026, Ukrainians can issue “children’s” 50,000 hryvnias. You can apply for assistance in two ways: submit an application to the Pension Fund or apply through the “eMalyatko” service, which is available in “Dia”.

Previously, from November 15 to December 24, 2025, Ukrainians had the opportunity to apply for a one-time benefit in the amount of 1,000 hryvnias. The funds were supposed to go to the “National Cashback” card.
