In Ukraine, access to the Unified State Register for businesses and citizens has been restored. Data about defense enterprises remains protected.
About this reported Ministry of Digital Transformation.
“Together with the Ministry of Justice, we are returning transparency where it is safe. The most popular data set — the Unified State Register — is again available on the Open Data Portal,” the message reads.
The ministry reminds that the register in the form of open data has been closed since 2022 for security reasons. Currently, access is restored in a limited mode – businesses and citizens get access to information, the state retains control over sensitive information, in particular, data on defense enterprises remains under protection.
As the Ministry of Justice added, the corresponding decision was made taking into account the balance between security requirements in the conditions of martial law and the need to ensure transparency, accountability of the state and sustainable economic development.
The opening of the UDR in the form of open data will ensure:
Public open data sets will not display:
- contact details;
- exact location;
- information on types of economic activity (KVED).
Sets of open UDR data are already available on the website of the Ministry of Justice and SE “NAIS”. The process of publishing data on the Unified State Portal of Open Data — data.gov.ua — is also ongoing.
