The Central Election Commission terminated the registration of Oksana Kvashi as a candidate for People’s Deputies of Ukraine from the Servant of the People party after receiving her personal statement.

The CEC made the relevant decision on Monday, January 19, after processing the submitted materials.
The Central Election Commission reported that they had received a personal statement from Oksana Kvashi, who was included in the election list of the “Servant of the People” party under number 159 in the nationwide multi-mandate district in the special parliamentary elections on July 21, 2019.
The very submission of this application became the basis for revising her status as a candidate for People’s Deputies.
“After reviewing the submitted documents, the commission made a decision to cancel the registration of Oksana Kvashi as a candidate for People’s Deputies of Ukraine in the specified special elections and exclude her from the electoral list of the Servant of the People party,” the CEC informed.
We will remind that the Central Election Commission initiates the introduction of additional requirements for candidates for the post of President of Ukraine and People’s Deputies. In particular, during registration, they must submit a special statement about the presence or absence of ties with the Russian Federation or other states that may pose a threat to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.
