The Moroccan Football Federation is considering the possibility of cooperation with the legendary Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta. According to the Spanish media, the organization’s officials have already taken the first step towards a potential partnership.

The 41-year-old ex-football player was invited to Rabat for the final of the African Cup of Nations. This visit could be the beginning of negotiations regarding Iniesta’s future role in the structure of the national team.

The Moroccan federation sees the former Barcelona midfielder as a figure capable of strengthening the coaching staff thanks to his experience at the highest level. At the same time, the final decision regarding the position and functions of the Spaniard has not yet been made.

Andres Iniesta ended his playing career in the summer of 2024. During his career, he became an icon of Barcelona, ​​with whom he won numerous trophies, after which he played in Japan for Vissel Kobe and in the UAE for Emirates FC. Now one of the symbols of Spanish football can take the first steps in coaching outside of Europe.
