Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga called on the IAEA and leading world powers to force Russia to abandon plans to strike substations supplying Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Details: The head of the Foreign Ministry noted that, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia is planning dangerous strikes on substations that provide electricity to Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

According to Sybiga, Ukraine shares relevant data with partners, warning of potentially catastrophic consequences.

What preceded: Earlier on Saturday, the Central Intelligence Agency said that Russia is considering the option of strikes on substations of Ukrainian nuclear power plantsto force Ukraine to sign unacceptable demands.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following the results of a meeting with the head of the Ukrainian State Government, Oleg Ivashchenko, said that Russia is preparing for further strikes on Ukrainian energy and infrastructure, including facilities serving nuclear plants.
