China is actively preparing the army for war against Taiwan / photo wikipedia.orgThe US operation to kidnap Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro shocked and outraged Moscow and Beijing, but also inspired them. The Chinese military is already conducting training in which they are trying to implement a similar scenario, writes Nikkei Asia.
The publication notes that the other day, China’s state-run military TV channel aired footage of special forces training, which apparently included an operation to eliminate the leadership of Taiwan.
The published footage showed how a military drone first observes the building for conditional purposes, and then a night raid by a group of special forces takes place. Chinese television reported that the fighters used military crossbows during these exercises to quietly neutralize the guards. In total, the training raid is said to have taken less than two minutes.
Nikkei Asia notes that these exercises were likely designed to demonstrate the ability of the Chinese military to carry out an operation similar to the raid by US special forces in Caracas.
“These exercises also appear to be aimed at intimidating the administration of Taiwan’s President Lai Jing-de,” the newspaper wrote, recalling that at the end of last year, the Chinese navy surrounded Taiwan as part of large-scale military exercises, during which the Chinese also carried out “simulated attacks on key targets”.
In the past, the Chinese army has already practiced simulating the capture of the Taiwanese leadership. So, in July 2015, at a military base in the Inner Mongolia region, the Chinese military trained to attack a building suspiciously similar to the building of the presidential administration of Taiwan.

Even at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia tried to eliminate Volodymyr Zelensky, but failed.
The real reason why Russia and China do not conduct such operations is not respect for international law, but a lack of capabilities. Capturing Maduro required the deployment of thousands of US military and intelligence personnel, high-tech cyber operations, anti-aircraft suppression, the use of specialized helicopters and highly skilled elite units – a unique combination of resources and expertise that the US possesses almost exclusively.
