Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the “Fatherland” parliamentary faction, who is suspected of offering illegal benefits to people’s deputies, said that the audio recording released by the anti-corruption authorities was compiled by deputy Igor Kopytin (“Servant of the People”) and NABU.
Yulia Tymoshenko stated this during the meeting of the Central Committee of the Ukrainian People’s Republic of Ukraine.

According to the politician, the analysis of the time of the audio recording showed that the fragments were taken from the meeting with Kopytin, against whom the NABU is already conducting a criminal case.
“The NABU has a criminal case against this deputy, he is under pressure from the NABU,” Tymoshenko stressed.
She also stated: “Kopytin asked me for a meeting, said that he did not want to be in the majority… offered to cooperate many times.”
Tymoshenko emphasized that the purpose of the compiled record was simultaneously to relieve Kopytin of criminal responsibility and to discredit me politically.
“NABU fulfilled a political order – specifically to discredit me as a person who consistently, persistently, daily conducts parliamentary activities so that laws that directly contradict the national interests of Ukraine are not voted,” said the leader of Batkivshchyna.
Tymoshenko’s defense asks the court to oblige the anti-corruption authorities to provide the original full version of the recording for an independent examination.
The leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko, who is to be given a preventive measure on January 16 in the case of bribe offers, said that the tapes released by NABU were falsified, because such a conversation “never happened in her life.”
Prosecutors are asking the High Anti-Corruption Court (HCC) to impose a preventive measure on People’s Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko in the form of a bail of ₴50 million, as well as a number of obligations, including wearing an electronic bracelet.
